Grossular from near the Stifle Claim, California. Fluorescent red under longwave UV light, orange under 405nm blue laser (with filter to block the blue light), nothing under shortwave. The fluorescence is relatively weak, and the photos are composite. The fluorescence spectra are quite interesting. I think the orange fluorescence is due to Mn, but I have no idea about the spikes that cause the red color. Low quantity of iron is suspected as activator.
