SC585 – Leucophanite from the Saga 1 Quarry, Norway

Large piece of just leucophanite. Bright pink fluorescence under midwave UV light and violet under longwave, with brief orange phosphorescence/afterglow. The different fluorescence responses are due to an interesting mix of activators, mainly cerium, REE and manganese.
