SC1064 – Agrellite and Albite from the Kipawa alkaline complex, Canada

Mar 16, 2024 | Agrellite, Albite, Mineral Collection

Agrellite with albite and a black amphibole. The agrellite shows its typical pink fluorescence under mid and shortwave UV, a weak orange response under longwave, and orange afterglow after midwave exposure. The albite fluoresces dull red under shortwave, and a surprising white under mid and longwave. Shortwave UV also shows some green fluorescence from uranyl impurities.
