SC1207 – Hokkaidoite from the Shikaribetsu Lake, Hokkaidō Prefecture, Japan

Very nice sample of hokkaidoide grains embedded in opal. Under longwave UV light the hokkaidoide fluoresces brilliant green, while the opal fluoresces a rainbow of colors: from purple and blue to pink, orange, and yellow. A raw specimen, no saw cut on any side, with matrix on top and bottom.
