A nice specimen of agrellite and baratovite from the second best agrellite locality: the Dara-i-Pioz Massif in Tajikistan. The agrellite shows its typical bright pink fluoresence under shortwave and midwave UV light, best midwave. Longwave excitation does not cause much fluorescence. Exposure to midwave UV also leaves a nice orange afterglow. For a nice contrast, the baratovite plates fluoresce bright blue, and some uranyl impurities green; only shortwave. If you look carefully enough, the agrellite seems to be surrounded by something, perhaps an alteration, which fluoresces a deep violet, and not much orange afterglow.
